Opened in 1915, Earl Kitchener Elementary School is a dual-track (English and French Immersion) located in the West end of Hamilton, Ontario. Currently the school enrolls about 460 students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade Five.
Earl Kitchener has two formal parent groups dedicated to advancing the school's interests and making the school an excellent learning environment. The School Council and the Home and School Association work in complimentary areas. This Web site focuses on these two groups, as well as topics of general interest to parents of Earl Kitchener students. This site is an independent voice on Earl Kitchener matters and should not be confused with the official Earl Kitchener Elementary School Web site.
School Council
Broadly speaking, School Council deals with issues that are policy oriented or political in nature.

- Represents the parents' and students' interests to the principal and to the board of education
- Includes parent, teacher and staff representatives
- Meets on the third Tuesday of the month during the school year.
Home and School
The Home and School Association organizes volunteer programs and fundraises.
- Independent from the school board and province
- Meets on the first Tuesday of each month during the school year
- Runs many programs which make Earl Kitchener a great school for our children
